Hansel and Gretel siblings yet sexual chemistry between them

They have more chemistry for lovers than siblings imo

I definitely detected some sexual tension between Hansel and Gretel.
Most succinctly, when they return to their old house. Gretel falls on top of Hansel. She calls out his name, moves like she's just about to kiss him, stops as she realizes something and gets up.
Though I think it was more one-sided than not. In the early scenes too, several times I saw Gretel looking at Hansel that way.
It'd make sense as she's never really had another man(before Edward that is) in her life. Though Hansel seems to have a decent luck in the romance department. Let's face it, there's got to be some activity in her hormones.

What? I didn't see anything like that. Maybe your confusing it with GoT. Jaime Lannister and his sister, Cersei.

I think people just see sexual tension because the actors playing the main characters are both extremely sexy, that's all.

I think it's just the good chemistry between the two actors. It's not really sexual tension between the characters, just that the actors worked great together. I don't doubt if in the original take they were related and were instead two friends the writers wouldn't have bothered with the other white witch character.

Everything was normal until that scene where they both crash through the floor.

She's straddling him, they kept embracing each other, touching each other's faces, and their lips were a few inches apart.

Kind of made me think of Edward Rooney's "so THAT'S how it is in their family."

"Why are my least favorite people always the most durable?"

The unrated version was def. much better !! The brother/sister relation and the reason why Edward was so violent when saving Gretel , is much better explained !!

reply

I did and their "embrace" still gave off a "so THAT'S how it is in their family" vibe.

Yeah, I sensed it a bit in the movie... just a hint of it.

There was zero sexual tension.

I see it. My brother even commented on it the first time he saw it. I think it's just that Renner and Arterton have a lover like chemistry so it comes through in their interactions of the characters. Who can blame them? They are smoking hot.

No way! They have a brother and sisterly bond but that's it. You're pretty sick to think things like that. I'm not knocking sick but there is absolutely none of that sort of chemistry between them in this movie. Zero!
