"Watchable but dull."

Sadly I have felt like this about all of Cooper's movies after Crazy Heart, which I absolutely loved. I'll still see this, but I'm not expecting much.

Have you seen Hostiles?
It’s quite good and unlike Out of the Furnace, anything but dull, just my opinion though.

Hostiles was directionless and farcical and riddled with historical inaccuracies.

Care to elaborate, in what way was it directionless and farcical?
And as historical inaccuracies go, please indicate how they detracted from the film.
Braveheart is riddled with historical inaccuracies but it’s still a timeless masterpiece/achievement.

I've seen it a couple of times. I like it and I think it's his best after Crazy Heart but I did find it a little on the dull side. But I liked it enough that now that you mentioned it I feel like watching it again.

You can add boring, slow and plodding as well. Huge disappointment for another EAP related project. I just did not care about any of the characters.
