I feel like the only person who enjoyed this movie :) I've seen it twice and it never fails to make me laugh. I love all Adam Sandler movies, I think it was a success! Why is everyone so critical? Anyone out there that actually like this movie?
sharei just finished re-watching Grown Ups (2010) which makes for my 2nd viewing of it total now and it's not as enjoyable as the first time around unlike another Sandler movie, Just Go With It (2011), which held solid on a re-watch as i just re-watched Just Go With It (2011) for the 2nd time on Feb 12th 2014 and that held strong as it was pretty funny etc throughout most of the movie as i would say Just Go With It (2011) is Sandler's best simple comedy since his glory days of Happy Gilmore (1996) which i think many, including myself, consider to be his best all around movie.
bottom line...
-Just Go With It (2011) = a solid 7/10 (easily Sandler's best all around comedy in a long time now)
-Grown Ups (2010) = 6.5-7/10 (a mild thumbs up. i used to consider this about tied with Just Go With It based on my initial viewings of both but after a re-watch this does not hold up as well as Just Go With It does. but i still do like it.)
p.s. Grown Ups 2 (2013) ; while i had a little laugh here and there the overall movie was pretty dull as i think Grown Ups 2 (2013) is below average overall.
for the record... i consider myself a general Adam Sandler fan.
