The truth about fans of the film here

1 - they have not read the book
2 - anyone criticising the film is not "intelligent" to get the ideas
3 - they cannot accept the film was average at best
4 - deluding themselves that somehow some famous person will say its a classic and they will proved right

reply

You realize how hypocritical this is right?

You're mad at fans of the film that put others down for not liking it.

You're putting down fans of the film for liking it.

There is no right or wrong. Different people have different opinions. Very strange, I know.

reply

Nope. I loved it, I don't care if others didn't. I don't care if it's never considered a classic and can see its flaws/perceived flaws.

reply

I just don't get the mindset of posters like this.

Misery's the river of the world Everybody row Everybody row

reply

I'm just grateful I don't get the mindset of posters like this.

Dave, stop. Stop, will you? Stop, Dave. Will you stop Dave? Stop, Dave.

reply

There have been plenty of people who have come here, sitting on the wrong side of the fence, complaining about the people who did enjoy the film.

I believe most of the people who did enjoy the film are quite content, while people like you are just the opposite, with no solace, continuing to scratch your head in wonder.

It is a shame.

reply

Get a life, dude. You don't have to waste so much time of your life for a movie that "was average at best".

reply

I loved it and I did read the book beforehand. Don't particularly care about other opinions. I have no illusion that it makes me smarter. Just different tastes.

I also loved The Counselor which gets me roasted whenever I mention it.

reply

I enjoyed watching it.
I was never bored or distracted through the entire length of it.
I liked the movie overall.
But I don't think it deserves a higher imdb score, or an oscar except perhaps in some technical area, and it isn't the best movie ever made like what the fanboys on here are trying to push.

reply

I think the film is a masterpiece and perfect as is!

reply

Its my favorite movie, well along with Inception.

1 - applies to me, dont intend to change that
2 - false
3 - i can accept it because i simply dont care
4 - i dont know any famous person whos said this, article 3 applies here ^^

Lincoln Lee: I lost a partner.
Peter Bishop: I lost a universe!

reply

Have not read the book but have enquired would I be better seeing the film again or read the book first.

It is a matter of opinion of how each individual interpreted the film in their own minds. I have a different view to what my partner thought of the film. Eg I believe that my actions in this life will have a path for my soul in the next. My other half does not believe in reincarnation but that is their opinion
