The Funniest part ever!

When that girl had the baby and she said the Dad was coming up and then Jack Nicholson's character walked in! ROFL!!!

That was a great moment. They played it just right.

I really think people missed the depth to this movie. Maybe they're just too simple to see past the obvious and realize how complicated the characters--even Owen Wilson's--were. Oh, well, their loss.

The funniest part or "parts" should I say is the scenes Owen Wilson's character.
It was a well-written character of a narcissistic ladies' man and his scenes with the Reese Witherspoon's character,Lisa, were funny.
Unfortunately,Wilson and Witherspoon had NO CHEMISTRY whatsoever.

I fell asleep about halfway through the movie so is Jack Nicholson's character the dad or was it just comical timing?

reply

You have got to be kidding!!

There was no funniest part in this movie. It was a boring story inhabited by one dimensional characters that no one could really care about. For example, Reese Witherspoon's obnoxious character Lisa, really had a tough time figuring out if she should be with a smug, shallow, selfish jerk, or someone who truly cared about her? Give me a break!! It was a waste of two hours.

Most of Owen Wilson's scenes raised a laugh or at least a chuckle. But one of the best scenes goes to Paul Rudd drunk and singing into his lamp.

The two best scenes had very little to do with comedy. The hospital scene after Nicholson left was pure gold. And the play doh scene was very moving. I like Wilson, but that character didn't do anything for me.
