season 2
seems to be the same quality of story and acting in season 1. How long before Harper sleeps with Cameron?
shareseems to be the same quality of story and acting in season 1. How long before Harper sleeps with Cameron?
shareAbsolutely loved the 1st episode ; just like the first season top quality writing and incredibly witty dialogues !!!!
10/10
Didn’t find this opener quite as good as season 1. Actors had some clunky moments, but Mike White’s wit showed up in certain conversations. Hope it gets going. Really miss Murray Bartlett. It was crazy to eliminate THE best character from S1. Was hoping S2 would be a prequel based on his character’s earlier career.
shareSo who's going to end up DEAD this time???
The COP said more than one guest was found, and when the woman who runs the place asked how many of them were dead the cop said that he didn't know.
I'm thinking the husband who keeps harping on how much his wife (TANYA) eats will be one of the bodies.
Or maybe the assistant (Portia) who is confined to her room will get rid of her boss (Tanya)???
Here's another idea about who might be one of the DEAD BODIES:
Since Daphne was discussing DATELINE & how much she enjoyed watching stories about MURDER, and she mentions how one spouse kills another one by screwing around with the tank or something while scuba diving, and she's also all alone on the BEACH without her hubby when the story begins, perhaps she's also killed her husband by doing something to his equipment?
So maybe S2 will also end with a FAST FORWARD to ONE YEAR LATER and with our seeing a story about DAPHNE air on DATELINE???
🤔
My guess is it's going to be one of the nicest and kind character; so the assistant of Tanya or the son (who is there with his dad and grandad); it could also be one of the prostitutes, or the dad, or the grandpa, or Tanya, or Tanya's husband; haha well just like S1 it's anyone's guess :D
shareI hope you're wrong about it being one of the nicer characters! Didn't the assistant also say that she takes meds of some kind? And the other guy said that he likes to date people who are a mess like that? Wonder why he likes dating that type of a person???
I'm also thinking his Dad and/or his GRANDPA get into some kind of an argument with the RELATIVES that they'll be meeting. Maybe because both of them also keep flirting with the wives of their relatives or even end up seducing them? Then that might also explain how they die?
In the previews they also show Tanya riding on that motor scooter ALL ALONE. So I'm thinking she gets angry (especially after hearing that phone call where GREG was speaking to someone else saying that he'd be HOME soon), which probably also means the only reason why he's with Tanya is for her money. Didn't someone else also say that she's worth 1/2 a BILLION that she inherited from her father?
So maybe Tanya gets GREG to go for another ride on the MOTOR SCOOTER again on that WINDING ROAD that also overlooks the ocean & that's the way he dies???
I'm also betting the prostitute ends up in LA (the way that she said she would be if she had enough money to go there). And the other friend will probably also get a job as a singer.
EP 2 was definitely better than Ep 1.
In the previews it also looks like the WIFE of that other guy is going to try to seduce the other one who's husband keeps refusing to have sex with her.
His excuse was he's too tired after he comes home, but he also used the SAME EXCUSE when he's on vacation (where there is no excuse for his being too tired). So the real reason he keeps turning her down is probably because he doesn't want to get her pregnant and have children???
And the other guy (who also use to be college roommates) also made a remark to him in Ep 1 about how he found him good looking enough to want to do him himself. So while his wife tries to seduce the former roommate's wife, watch him also try to seduce the husband.
Bert Di Grasso, the father of Dominic ... is a Hollywood producer.
Dominic, Albie's father and Bert's son. He's a Hollywood producer who is visiting Sicily to explore his ancestral roots.
I did not like S2E1. Great production quality but weak story / show. Not hooked.
S1 was great.
Through 2 eps, I think nearly every aspect has been worse. The cast, their performance, and the story, doesn't compare.
shareThat is what happens when a streaming service wants more of something that was well received. The quality just isn't as high. I am still enjoying this one, even though it isn't as good as season 1.
shareI disagree. I have really enjoyed the two episodes. It looks like it's turning out be just as good as season 1.
shareIt's nice to know that someone else also enjoys watching Season 2. After watching Ep 2 of S2 it's also interesting to watch Ep 1 again. Because then you can pick up on lots of things you missed when viewing it for the first time (when you also weren't familiar with the characters).
What's interesting, for example, is how LUCIA seems to have been SET UP by someone else to seduce Dominic due to the way you hear her discussing with MIA how she doesn't know what he looks like when they go to meet the boat as it arrives at the SPA.
So WHO would have asked her to meet that boat? Could it have been DOMINIC's WIFE (the one who YELLS at him on the phone)??? Maybe she saw the AD Lucia said she has on Social Media and called her to see if her hubby would cheat on her again if he had the chance? Or maybe the WIFE asked Lucia to record the 3 way sex with her husband so that she can use that in the DIVORCE settlement???
And the other character also seems to think that Cameron (her husband's former roommate) wants something. And since that couple have recently come into some money from selling a business, perhaps she's right? Because Cameron also seems like the type to have SPENT or LOST whatever money that he may have previously had.
It's also interesting how she says she works for a company (a LAW FIRM) that SUES companies for harassement or other issues like that. And she also tells CAMERON to say hello to some lawyer he knows & to congratulate him on not getting disbarred. So it also sounds like Cameron's mixed up with some kind of a sleazy attorney or something for some reason???
It's really amazing how much one can miss the first time that one views an episode & how much more you can pick up if you view it again.
Agree with the above, up to now I don't find S2 inferior to S1, because S1 was so new and so "fresh" compared to other comedy shows after watching S1 I guess some people might not enjoy S2 since we might not have that new and "fresh" feeling like when S1 came out.
I watched S1 three times and the second and third were the best viewings; you definitely catch many more details and "finesse" than in the first viewing.
At about 25 min into Ep 1 the DVR went blank for some unknown reason, & now that it's working again the stupid remote won't work right (gets stuck) & won't let me rewind & replay things. Thank goodness for HBO/MAX so that one can go rewatch it again that way!
Anyhow, CAMERON was also telling the other character (HARPER)??? that his company has had LOTS of claims made against it (which could also explain the scene where Cameron changes into the swimsuit when Harper can also see his naked body in the bathroom mirror).
So did he do that ON PURPOSE? Because that could also be seen as a form of sexual harassment, especially IF Cameron also has a habit of inviting other couples to join him & his wife for a week (like they've done now).
And if he's also behaved the same way as he seems to be doing with Harper (by also sneaking up on her under the water when she went swimming), then one could also understand the reasons why he'd have claims made against him or his company???
Cameron also reminds one of the other character who was hitting on his employee last season (the one who died).
And Hopefully it will also be CAMERON who dies this time instead of another employee who was mistreated by his ANNOYING GUEST who kept BITCHING at him all of the time (the same way as we also heard Cameron Bitching about the MISSING LUGGAGE).
Still another interesting thing to NOTE is the way that HARPER refused to drink the champagne which may also indicate she's already pregnant. And her husband also called her a STAR EMPLOYEE who always wins her case.
So that might also mean CAMERON invited her on this trip because he's hoping to BUY her off (sort of the same as witness tampering only he's trying to tamper with the attorney).
Because he also mentioned how EXPENSIVE it can be to fight all of the claims that he has against him.
And since she deals with discrimination, sexual harassment, & wrongful termination claims, my bet would be many of his claims involve sexual harassment. Because he was also WINKING at HARPER on the boat before they even arrived at the hotel.
He will probably rape her. Seems like that's the main reason he invited them along on this trip, his desire to do that.
shareHere's a review where it points out the MAIN reason why Cameron invited Ethan to Sicily:

Ethan realizes that Harper was right. Cameron set up the entire vacation so he could talk about investment with Ethan.
