Depp and Jolie look horrible in this movie!!

Yup I agree , they both look horrible , and even their acting was not so well in this movie , to me this is a horrible movie , so silly !

I agree about the Crystal resemblance...and I love Billy Crystal!

They do both look awful. Jolie looks like a store window mannequin most of the time, expressionless and even bored. The two stars also have zero chemistry together.

And the plot: anybody who didn't see the denouement coming a mile away was not paying attention. The only thing that was not clear to me is did she know the entire time or was she fooled, too? Not that it matters that much; this was not a great movie.

I agree! Jolie is afraid to move a muscle of her face for fear of disrupting that perfect mask. She seems to be posing for the camera all the time--nothing natural about her "acting". Depp has put on a few pounds and looks middle aged- the scruffy hair hanging in his face is to disguise his fat cheeks-completely and utterly unbelievable that Jolie's character with her jewels and couture clothes would fall for him. Not to mention that she's from a different country, speaks several languages and has been living a sophisticated life for some time with the international mob.

JD-I agree about Depp but attributed it to injectables it ruined his bone structure of his face. Or heavy drinking that will make you puffy-faced too.

AJ- Naw nothing wrong with her performance. She isn't trying garner sympathy or be your friend she is in fact acting. Its a character.
I've worked with people like that. Stoic no matter what happens. Usually the combination of rearing, education, elocution & upper class ideals. Blessing/curse but are the definition of calm in the storm.

FYI I have read report that upper class people have difficulty reading other people's emotions as well.

Not everyone has to be a hillbilly letting every emotion show and flow

Depp has seen better days. Yes, he was just ok. Though he is a very attractive man. It is as you say - Jolie's make up was very bad. The outfits and hair styling was hideous. Yes, botox - Same expression throughout. Wanted to hop on to the sets and chop off that hair chunk that she wears to the ball. Unbelievably hideous. Hollywood makes mistakes too, for those who are starry eyed.
