CANCELLED

According to Variety, Disney has shut down production on season two of “The Acolyte”. When asked to explain her decision, Kathleen Kennedy stated that she would instead like to focus resources on her passion project, which is a retelling of the classic film “Lorenzo’s Oil”. Currently in its early pre-production phase, the eight-part limited series will soon shift to casting, where Kennedy claims the biggest challenge lies in finding an actress who can match the colossal size of Susan Sarandon’s oily knockers. If a suitable chest can’t be found, the LucasFilm chief says that ILM may have to create the boobage digitally. Stay tuned for updates.

You need to provide a link for this, because most variety articles on the series should be classified as advertisement. They are obviously paid very well.

reply

The link is on the World Wide Web, bro. Use AOL search optimized for Netscape and you’ll find the Geocities site lickity-split.

reply

ROFLMFAO ... WTF!

reply

Er...

reply

You can try and find something negative on variety.

Or is this show perfect in every possible way?

reply

I think the OP may have been having you on...

reply

OP is definitely making things up, at least about the 'on variety' part, because I just did a search of 'The Acolyte' on variety, and the shameless promotion of the show was kind of shocking.

If I haven't checked I'd think they were Disney owned.

reply

Rebecca Henderson would be a shoe-in!

reply

Are you sure this is legit news? We've heard about a lot of crap projects from Lucasfilm being shut down before, and yet they still made it onto D+

reply

Maybe, maybe not, but it is definitely not on Variety, so I think at least that part OP is making it up.

reply

I would never create fake news about colossal oily knockers. I respect them far too much for that.

reply

Like I said before a link would have cleared things up.

reply

A sausage link to colossal oily knockers?

reply

[deleted]

Yeah, right, they canceled a high profile, heavily advertised series after only one episode aired.

People asking for a link, lol. There's a sucker born every minute.

reply

I think they were asking for a sausage link.

Like I said before it is just not on variety. The rumour however is everywhere.

Some people are just very close minded of things.

reply

Did you actually read the body of my post, or are you simply a brilliant anti-troll?

reply

I like to check things up to see whether things have merits, I am an open minded person.

So I did a search on variety, so I knew you were lying at least about that part.

But I kept going to find out if indeed the show was cancelled, and I found a lot about the rumour.

You are not the first person trying to be sarcastic, and you won't be the last, but that does not mean everything you said was bullshit.

Am I right about that? Or is everything you say bullshit?

reply

So you’re saying that you read my post IN ITS ENTIRETY, and then checked the World Wide Web to see if it was actually true? I just want to be clear about that before we discuss the matter further.

reply

Just checked your history, and I think yours is a troll account, so I decided to put you on ignore list.

reply

So then…you didn’t read my post?

reply

We all saw this coming, all this woman thinks or cares about, is Lorenzo's Oil!

reply

Can you blame her?

reply

Translated: People shit on an all Gay STAR WARS and this is her way of spinning this

reply

What do Lorenzo’s Oil and Susan Sarandon’s blessed mammaries have to do with how gay Star Wars is?

reply

Damn. You people are so desperate. It's hilarious.

I actually went to check it out of curiosity. Nope. Just some wet dream of anti-woke fanboys from their moms basements. Who are literally make up stuff now.

Is there any truth to rumors of The Acolyte being already canceled?

No, there’s not enough evidence to support those claims, and we likely won’t get an answer for a while. As of late May, The Acolyte hasn’t been canceled.

The original rumor came from That Park Place, who claimed that "an alleged insider at Lucasfilm" straight-up told them a second season won’t happen. The information and facts provided are vague and haven’t been backed by the Hollywood trades, which are always quick to confirm or deny major creative shakeups inside big studios.

A quick look at the site also confirms it has very negative views on how Lucasfilm and the Star Wars brand are being run. While many fans might agree with this sentiment for a variety of very valid reasons, it appears this is just part of a larger movement to shoot down anything coming from the studio before it even releases.
