The World's End was refreshing, hilarious, deep, smart, dynamic and touching at the same time.
How the hell that stupid, pointless movie about idiot celebrities is better than this movie?
Pineapple Express was funny, but This is the End is not even close to it.
I also noticed a pretty big difference in age demographics comparing these movies. Maybe this explains everything.
I'm American and I thought "The World's End" was better than "This Is The End" so your argument is stupid and has no merit.
shareI used to hate comedies because the only ones I had ever seen were movies like This is the End. I felt stupid laughing at movies like that because it is just mindless crap. But then I discovered Shaun of the Dead and Hot fuzz and I couldn't believe how much I liked them. They were so funny and so clever, it makes you feel kind of smart when you laugh at them. It is so sad how stupid Americans are about watching movies.

Over here the public schools (and many private, especially religious ones) teach kids a very skewed version of history and it's not until college that you start to learn how things really went down. Unfortunately not everybody goes to college, so we end up with an abnormally high amount of people who believe absurd things like the USA saved Europe's ass in both World Wars and our founding fathers were Christians. I think too many people here have a massive ignorance of history and no interest in learning, which is really embarrassing to the rest of us Americans who actually value education and getting along with the rest of the world.

The gap in ratings between US and non US users for The World's End is larger than the one in the This is the End ratings, both being rated higher by us users. If you also look at the number of votes and took American voters out of the equation, you would see that The World's End would actually be rated LOWER than This is the End.
I'm American and iv'e seen this 4 times so far and as for 'this is the end' i have not seen it once and i'm in no hurry to do so...than again im in the minority i guess lol.

That being said, Worlds End was a better movie. It also might help to keep in mind that Worlds End made $8,790,237 in the united states its opening weekend, and had the highest per-theater average out of all films in theaters. In England it only grossed $3,242,064 opening weekend. Americas a bigger country, but it still has more fans. I'm one of them.
