Besides, the point of the movie was not sex. Nudity is only relevant when it furthers the plot. This was showing intimacy, that she was attempting to show him her love and consideration for him, and seemed to be sincere about it. We could see he was not responding appropriately, but did respond ultimately. We the viewers can see there's something wrong with him.

Yeah because her being naked in that scene was a huge plot point. That scene could've been done without any nudity in the first place. Your post is ridiculous lol

They shouldn't have hired her if she was going to be reluctant to show herself naked. Plenty of other actresses would have done it, without the darkened scene.

I think the shower scene was meant to portray a sensitive and intimate moment showing how she felt love and compassion for her husband at that point in time (before she found out what a monster he was). I don't think it was meant to be an arousing scene for the viewer (although Kirsten Dunst is beautiful and has a nice body imo).

The version I saw and the images on the internet show that the shower scene was quite dark however it wasn't exactly dark enough to hide her breasts so I don't think that was her decision and more likely a decision made by the director for some reason.

There are some SERIOUS studs on this board who obviously get WAAAAAY hotter chicks ;)
