hes listed in the cast on the wiki page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingdom_of_the_Planet_of_the_Apes

and whats more if you check his wiki pages hes playing the same character 'Limbo' as he did in the 2001 Burton Apes remake??!!

Interesting.

I was just thinking when I saw the trailer that I kind of wish they'd made a sequel to Burton's film... Maybe they'll try and tie it all together somehow! Doubt it though.

He's been taken off the KOTPOTA wiki page now (altho its still on his wiki page)

Also notice the whole premise and characters has been altered on the wiki page from just yesterday, originally it had the main character was Ceasars son and the adult girl as Nova (from last movie) which meant it could only be 15-20y after 'War' but now it states they are different characters (Noa and Mae..and the villain is 'Proximus Caesar, a powerful chimpanzee ruler who leads a coastal clan of apes in search of human technology') and its set generations after 'War' (much better, obviously getting toward the '68 original and melding the style of the new series with the originals, and with this movie or the sequel dealing with the ship from 'Rise' coming back to earth; probably Henry Cavill or 'a Chris' as Taylor, unless its Wahlberg lol)

I doubt Giamatti is in it but it would be a fun nod for fans and maybe even tying into Burtons Apes somehow (multiverse/alt timeline?)

Ah, pity.

Yeah, I was thinking when I saw that trailer that it might have been nice to see a sequel to the Burton film rather than were they've gone.

As it is, it looks like we've got the young human female being protected (a la War) and a recycled Koba (a la Dawn).

A chance to see the evolved futuristic ape society of the original novel in a Burton sequel would have been a bit different.

In the trailer it looks like they on some kind of ancient space ship like in the Burton movie. but its probably just an old battleship or a power station or something
