When's the last time a direct sequel to an earlier hit film did such a complete 180 and get torn to pieces like this? Highlander 2? Basic Instinct 2?
shareYeh those 2, maybe Last Jedi but that still did an insane 1.3b and had professional critics raving about how good it was the best one yet, but audiences were mostly disappointed
shareEh, I meant more like sequels that were both critical and financial failures. I don't mean just divisiveness or even disappointment, but they were outright despised! Just did some more digging and perhaps "ID4: Resurgence" fits the bill?
