Has a kind/decent person ever died on this show?

This isn't meant to be a rhetorical question. I'm just wondering. If all the people who die on this show are unbearable and awful, the moral of 1000 Ways to Die must be that only jerks die in freak accidents.

This has probably been mentioned, but I'm too lazy to scroll through all the replies to find out. There was the shy Japanese couple who died while having sex. I think thy were "Death # 1."

Whether these dead exposed on the show are kind and decent or not, doing stupid things, partying hard, showing off to the women, working in dangerous occupations or having a bad temper aren't grounds for the rest of us judging them worthy of dying in horrible ways.

It's hard to make a case of anyone deserving what happens to them on this show (they're mostly regular people, not terrorists or serial murderers), and even harder to watch this show and not be reminded of the complete randomness and meaninglessness of suffering needlessly and being taken from this earth - even with the added stupid moralistic commentary. I certainly wouldn't care for the company of anyone who thinks that, for example, just because a stewardess is rude she deserves to be ejected out of an airplane.

Much of the circumstances surrounding the deaths appear to be fictionalized anyway, I somehow doubt they'd go around interviewing witnesses and friends after the death and everyone goes oh yeah that person was horrible. The commentator seems to be there simply to make the deaths appear justified, when really, no justification exists for any of it.

how about the lady getting treated with acupuncture needles...she reached for her cell phone and fell off the bed...I don't remember her being mean or an ass or anything.....wasn't the smartest thing to do though

BTW, that stewardess that died in the real accident of Aloha Flights was NOT rude; she was a nice elderly lady.

That lady that died from drinking too many Red Bulls because of that slimy boss of hers that was sexually harassing her! He should've been the one who croaked, not her! It's like she was being punished for not giving the boss a B.J!

One can learn from that death though - excessive Red Bull CAN kill you quickly.

I've got another one - Gorgeous Gorge: the supermodel who over-binges and her stomach ruptures. Sure, her pattern of bulimia was self-destructive, but she wasn't mean spirited.

There was the mechanic working on a truck and the truck fell on him slicing his body in half. The bad person if anyone was the person in the other vehicle who smacked his truck.

And there was the episode of the minuteman who was portrayed as being not too bright then his tongue swelled up from chewing tobacco. He was most assuredly not a bad guy. This segment would have been a hit on the Spanish channels (eg. Telemundo et al).
