Do teens today really act like this?

Much of the film was disturbing, but something that bugged me big time was the way the girls allowed themselves to be compromised. When I was a teen, I knew girls who blew guys for coke- those girls were hard-core ADDICTS, not just girls out for fun!

Also, do girls today really think that being on your knees sucking off a guy is empowering? And do girls really have to PAY MONEY to get in a party??

When I was a teen girl, the guys worked, paid, and danced for MY attention, not the other way around...I felt more powerful under those conditions than I would on my knees!

No, and the kids who smoke pot do not act like crazy cokeheads. They sit in the basement and play Starcraft 2 and don't bother anyone.

Can only speak from personal experience, so all ican say is that the teens i hung around with in the north east of england 10 years ago weren't anything like this.

If there were a verb meaning to believe falsely, it would have no first person, present indicative

Many people can say "this isn't how kids act!!!" obviously haven't been around kids for a while. When i was 14/15 everyone was having sex, boasting about it, taking drugs, all nighters just walking around anywhere, you get the gist. Its not good obviously but they do these things. when i was 16 and leaving school, there was a girl aged 11 at my school getting an abortion. kids just try and do the naughty things earlier these days.

i have kids coming into my shop all the time and they're off they face and i'm not even going to type what else they do. its just life isn't it, over privileged kids taking drugs to get back at mummy and daddy and to seem cool

I don't think that's true. I think it just depends on the crowd of kids and where they're from. Considering these girls were 13/14 (early teens... pretty big difference from 15/16/17), I would say how they act is the exception rather than the norm.

It happens... I knew of more than a few in high school. There are always some girls out there who are unfortunate enough to be like this because they think it's worth it to do what it takes to be "popular".

It wouldn't surprise me. I was in high school in the late 70s. There were always open parties, where there was a cover fee to cover the cost of the kegs. (Drinking age was 18 back then.) Parents would buy the kegs for the parties. Then they would go off for the weekend to the Poconos or something, leaving their 16 and 17 year olds kids to have the parties. At these parties, there were plenty of drugs and plenty of sex. So yes, I can see this still happening and with the rape culture that is has been growing for the last 10 years or so, nothing in the party scene surprised me.

The girls weren't 16 or 17 though. They were 13/14. I don't think the party scene would have been as surprising if they were 16 or 17

Yes they do at they did when I was in high school and that was from 2002 -2006. Infact the kids in my middle school were doing some crazy stuff.

I'm sure there are teens that act like this (and there have been at least since the teen babysitters I had as a kid). But the movies and the media in general have a way of taking extreme outliers and making them appear like they're the norm.

There are many, many teens who are (more or less) virgins and respect their parents and teachers, but Hollywood seems to prefer to make movies about the ones who give bjs for coke. I think that says more about adults than teens.

Personally, I'd rather watch "barely legal" porn movies (with actresses over 18) or honest exploitation than watch these creepy-ass movies that seem to have prurient interest in real-life 14 year olds while they pretend to be "socially concerned".

This was tame compared to some teens. Oral sex is not a taboo, most teen couples do it way before having sex, it's pretty normal in parties, even when i was a teenager, i got them too at house parties. They weren't held at crack house, and yes, the "nerdiest" people weren't invited.

I have seen and done more sexual things when 14-17 than getting bj in a party.

Just because it don't happen in every party, doesn't mean it won't happen. Some girls like to give bj, they enjoy it and they do it, so why not? Some girls don't, and they don't do. Simple as that.

Well, I got and gave oral when I was a teen, too, but not for dope, to get into a party, or to be considered popular. Did the girl in the movie seem to like sucking that dude off? It seemed like she did it just to get into the party or something, but I honestly don't remember now lol
