What you all think. Kevin Bacon had very little dancing skill but is an excellent actor. Kenny Wormald is an awesome dancer but has little acting skill. Is it more important to have Ren be a great dancer or a great actor?
shareI think the biggest flaw in this movie was not hiring a real actor to play Ren. Kenny did well in the dance scenes but let's just say he is no Kevin Bacon. The original Ren was a brooding bad boy (with a good heart) but Wormald's Ren is a fluffy puff-a-lump.....did not like him AT ALL in this role.
shareI think it is a trade off. The newer one was definitely more entertaining and fun. As a dancer I appreciated the skill level of the main cast. The original was more heartfelt. I feel like I rejoiced more when they got their dance.

Great Dancer! He is so good and so HOT that i think he did an amazing job! may not be the best but def not the worst either, anyhow i think that the casting for this movie was GREAT
shareWhy not get an actor who can dance? Like Swayze, Mercurio or Travolta, I'm sure there are many out there. It doesn't have to be one OR the other, you can have both.

I think it's a bad move. An actors dancing skills must stay in the second place, even though it's a musical. I think Kenny did an ok job (No one can do better than Kevin Bacon as Ren anyways?) so I really didn't thought ''wow, what a bad acting'' But most of all, movie wasn't good enough in the first place. I can't say I'm impressed. I can't stop comparing the original movie with this, so, this version was a bit lame.

Hollywood has plenty of other movies that were just plain horrible. That they could have remade.
The solo scene in the factory, was just god awful in this remake. Then add in all the horrific acting. Hough is one fine ass woman, but lord does she need to just stick to Dancing with the stars.
I fell sorry for all the suckers who spent hard earned money. On this obvious coup by Hollywood to rape your wallet.
