One hour in, I had to turn it off.

Nothing but screaming, arguing and histrionics. No thanks! I'm done.

I didn't make it that far in.

good for you. I turned it off waaaaaaaay earlier than that

You are in the minority here. The film ends in a very satisfying way. Your loss.

reply

Agree. First 20 minutes i felt it dragging but stuck with it and as the movie went i enjoyed it more and more. One of those films.

reply

It is a challenge to watch this movie

I put the dvd in the player and then immediately ejected it and then promptly returned it to redbox.

reply

I love that story.

As they say, patience is a virtue.

I just saw this movie today for the first time and I thought it was a good film. I didn't mind the histrionics but then again, I like drama and I like it even more when there's a certain level of comedy mixed in with it and SLP fit the bill rather well. However, that could be why you didn't care for it, you're just not that into drama/comedy.

I do think SLP almost felt like a found footage movie. The characters feel kind of "real" to a certain extent. Not sure if this was done on purpose or what, but it gave the movie a unique edge that you don't see in a lot of movies.

I'll give it a 7.2 out of 100. Solid film, I liked it...

Gee, thanks for letting us know. What would we have done if you hadn't told us?

reply

Well for starters you wouldn't have replied!

I love replying.

We might have attempted to watch it!

I for one applaud his warning of "Nothing but screaming, arguing and histrionics."

I dont know what histrionics means but I dont fancy an hour of screaming, arguing

reply

Jennifer Lawrence really kept me watching. Some quirky charm in her crazy portrayal.
