Jlaw performance is...

Jennifer Lawrence is so BAD in Silver Linings Playbook, every line she delivers feels forced and too rehearsed

She prevailed against four superior performances such as Emmanuelle Riva in "Amour", Jessica Chastin in "Zero Dark Thirty" and Naomi Watts in "The Impossible" and Quvenzhané Wallis in "The Beasts Of The Southern Wild"

That Oscar winning performance has not aged well. It's in the same category as Gwyneth Paltrow in "Shakespeare In Love" and Reese Witherspoon in "Walk The Line"

you just dont like her. she won fair and square.

She was absolutely brilliant and amazing ...

With all due respect I totally disagree with you. She earned the award (though the Hunger Games losing it was a bittersweet success for it..but the film was the first of the franchise..Jennifer counter-competed against herself, as it were.)

I agree. Its a slightly more sophisticated romcom. Thats ok. But in these kind of movies the audience is supposed to fell in love with the romantic interest just like the lead character does. I just cant see this happening with Lawrence. She was simply unsympathetic until the very end. Cooper however...I really liked his performance, especially in the first half of the movie.

I enjoyed Tiffany...she could be really funny, thanks to a Oscar winning performance by Miss Lawrence.

Honestly--she should have TWO Oscars: Winter's Bone and, Silver Linings Playbook.

I love this movie and I loved her character but I don't know if it deserved an Oscar. Too "silly" of a movie even though I do really love it.

I think JLaw is very good in this, probably her best performance behind Winter Bone (still her greatest performance imo).

But it wasn't a Oscar worthy winning performance imo, I thought Bradley Cooper's role was more Oscar worthy then her's. But that's the thing about the Oscar's, it's all about companies smooching Oscar voter's and the performers kissing backside. Also they have a habit at throwing awards at the bright young things coming up that studio's have money on been a success, a bit like Paltrow in SIL, and Emma Stone recently in La La Land. None of those performances were Oscar winning worthy imo. Especially Paltrow's. It's a bit like also with Oscar's throw award's at performers for their career's or past snub's to make up for their mistakes, a bit like Colin Firth been snubbed for A Simple Man (his best performance) and given him it for The King's Speech and given Sandra Bullock the award for her whole career not cause she was that great in The Blind Side.

Also with JLaw, I didn't think her performance in American Hustle was deserving of a Oscar Nom either.
