Simply said....this sucked

The writers/directors had a chance to make a great sequal and really blew it! This movie made no sense whatsoever. And really bad choice in casting. JMO

Agreed. Unbelievably horrible.

Well said. It was a POS.

I'm a big fan of Wall Street 1 and I was really pumped for this film. They missed out on a golden opportunity by putting out this sorry excuse for a Wall Street sequel.

reply

Douglas was good though, but that's about it.

I don't know what film you people saw I liked it very much

I had a hard time getting through it. I finally watched it on my DVR and it took me five hours to get through it because I kept falling asleep. I just gave up. And it's too nice out today.

LMAO to above poster...I had the same problem... should be its own topic..

DVR movies that take the longest to get through

I thought it was alright. I liked how it is a work of fiction, but it does a pretty good job of describing what actually happened. Douglas was again great as Gekko. Brolin made for a poor villain. Shia was not bad either. Not a lot of range, but he is good at these types of roles.

That chick that plays Winnie Gecko is English. Did not pick up on that at all during the movie. She put on a pretty good American accent.

If you don't get everything you want, think of the things you don't get that you don't want.

reply

100% agree. I still, even after about 3 times try, been able to sit through it all. Shia just annoys the hell out of me and was the worse choice ever, along with the woman from CSI New York.

reply

Agree completely. What are we supposed to take away from this? That Green Energy is the future, and the evil ways of the past are gone? Well we just had 5 heavily subsidized green companies go belly up at a cost of billions to the tax-payer. Maybe the politicians who are destroying the value of our $, pensions, 401Ks are the real criminals. Maybe Oliver Stone should make a movie about that.

The state of film-making is in the toilet these days, along with the economy.

reply

Apparently this film is what people are clamoring for, who I don't know, so Hollywood delivers. As for the economy, apparently this is what people are clamoring for, but I know who they are, and they got what they wanted.

reply

Movie sucked beyond belief.

reply

I have to agree, this is a very weak movie.

That's the direction movies are headed, with sappy romantic sub-plots and pretty actors from kids television shows..... winnie's character was bad, but seriously, shia lebouf? HE RUINED THE LATEST INDIANA JONES (albeit not as much as spielberg/lucas)
