Tangled vs Megamind

I choose Tangled hands down. Some good references for all ages, a better story, and pretty good script. What do you guys think?

They're both completely different movies (albeit both animated) but I'll go with Tangled. Neither were anything amazing to me, but I thought Tangled was much better.

Both really make me miss animated movies like The Lion King though.

I was expecting more from Tangled before seeing it. I thought it was going to at least live up to my expectations, but sadly it didn't. Don't get me wrong, the story was very well made and I fairly enjoyed it. There were some funny scenes. Though, I didn't expect anything from Megamind, after watching it, it made me go wow. I almost everything about Megamind.

I was expecting more from Tangled from the trailers, which made it seem better. I actually liked it but I really didn't see it as something I wanted to re-watch, unlike Megamind which was fun and hilarious. Ironically I didn't expect Megamind to be as good as I found it from its trailers.

The trailers made it seem like Rapunzel was going to be a tougher Princess heroine but she turned out to be more weak-willed than Cinderella and that got on my nerves. She had loads of chances to explore outside the tower but never did for 18 years. Most of the other stuff was alright in Tangled but the soundtrack wasn't memorable to me. Plus that frying pan gag got old fast.

Maybe those things would make other people like it which isn't bad but it wasn't my thing.

I loved Megamind's cast so much more, they were WAY better developed than Tangled and I thought that it made a better and more interesting movie. Definitely more new and fun. It never dragged on and had a better soundtrack even though it had all previously recorded material.

I did enjoy Megamind for I thought it was well animated, funny and smart, but I liked Tangled more, which was a sheer delight and the best Disney film in a long time.

Tangled by far, it was simply amazing. Megamind was just a good movie.

Both are the same in my opinion, both are not perfect. Tangled (some uninspired songs) and Megamind (some jokes that fall flat) but the characters and energy of both films is what it kept going for me.

I just watched Megamind for the first time and despite being a really enjoyable and good movie I still say that Tangled is better.
I think one of the main reasons I like Tangled so much is because Zachary Levi is in it and Chuck is my favourite show but I also liked the storyline and songs that are in it.

I love both, but lately Tangled has been annoying me lately...I don't know, I guess it's just because it's so much like the other Disney movies (especially The Hunchback of Notre Dame) and it bugs me that it isn't really original, when you think about it.
So, I vote Megamind!! It's "un-freaking-believably" funny!

Tangled definitely its Disney megamind isn't always better being a Disney film

reply

Definitely Megamind. Tangled was okay, but the characters, the plot, and the animation weren't nearly as good as they were in Megamind. Megamind made me really care about the characters and the story. Tangled had some cute moments, but nothing extraordinary.

Megamind but Tangled was really good too!

Megamind! I love this movie, I think it's fantastic and I don't think it gets half the appreciation it should.

I love Disney but Tangled is very meh for me. There are parts of it that I really enjoy, Mother Gothel is fabulous and I loved her character and Eugene is a great character too! It's the character of Rapunzel that I'm not overly keen on so because I'm not so fussed about her, it makes me not so fussed about the whole movie. For the lead character, I didn't feel much depth with her and she just wasn't a character I felt I could relate to at all. I felt like they made her, almost, too perfect and because she was so perfect and seemed to lack any flaws, I just couldn't relate to her or feel much towards her. I don't mind the movie and I've watched it a few times but I do think it's a bit overrated.

A more apt comparison would be this to "Despicable Me"(both are about villains turning good because of love). Or maybe "The Incredibles" since they're both superhero movies.

**edit**BTW, as to the question asked, I prefer "Megamind".

Klytus, I'm bored. What play thing can you offer me today?
