Didn't know it was so popular with Israelis though.

It's not just an Israeli thing; it's all over the middle east.

I think the entire region should unite in peace over its love of delicious food.

Ya, all Israelis eat Humus. We've got many brands here. When I'm hungry I put a Pita in the toaster over and dip it in Humus.

reply

I agree. It's delicious on a whole wheat pita

reply

no, has to be with some olive oil drizzled on top with a sprinkle of paprikka and served with hot pitta bread - maybe some tomato, cucumber and onion salad on the side with a drizzle of lemon - yumm!! On the other hand some schwarma or falafel in pitta with fries, salad and tahinna woudn't go wrong either!

reply

It's yummy!

Hummus is WONDERFUL!! No matter what religion you are, it tastes great. Put it on crackers, Doritos, rye bread....it's very good. I think it's also made with Olive oil.

You don't have to go to any religious stores to buy it. Just go to a supermarket. If you are a member of BJ's or Costco, they have it in larger tubs. Some flavors are: Spinach Dip, Roasted Red Pepper, Garlic and plain.

Now I will go eat some :-)
