I'm pretty sure the gang boss said "virgin". The auctioneer said she was "certified pure" a rather coy way of putting it, which could be interpreted as free of STD's, but I would expect that to be refered to as "clean".

shareIt would make sense to have a doctor or a nurse on staff to check out the girls immediately after they were captured. It would be fine if the doctor was illegal (struck off the medical register or something) as long as he did his job. If the difference between a disease-free virgin and a non-virgin is hundreds of thousands of dollars, you don't want to pass up any windfalls through not knowing who's "pure" and who isn't.

That's why they explicitly said CERTIFIED pure. Sounds to me like they checked her hymen, and it was intact. Then again, there's hymenoplasty - the surgical restoration of the hymen, it's pretty common in the muslim world. The buyer basically has to trust the slave trader.
Why do people always say "but the hymen can break in other ways". This is a simple logic check. Assuming the belief that a hymen is proof of virginity:
All girls with a hymen are virgins.
Not all girls who are virgins have a hymen.
Are these sentences equal? No. So stop saying it!
You can assume therefore, they had her examined, and the hymen was identified as in tact. That's it. It's that simple.
