..is that, after watching it and enjoying such perfection, any other anime feels just "Not as good" or "empty" or "meh". My gosh, it's like watching the Ultimate chess game.
If you haven't watched it and you're wondering if you should.. DON'T! Go and watch plenty of other animes first, because after this one.. there is nothing else.
I also enjoyed Monster, Code Geass, Legend of the Galactic Heroes. I do agree that once L dies it is similar to Zhuge Liang dying in Romance of the Three Kingdoms or certain person in LOGH dying - I'm like do I keep watching as I no longer really care what happens! With Game of Thrones there were enough other strong characters to keep me watching after Ned and Robb died.

Death Note is great, but it lags for awhile after episode 25 for spoiler-heavy reasons I won't speak. The last few episodes were great, thought, and the final two were AWESOME.
It's an amazing show, but there are some other flaws that sorta bug me, too. L and Light make assumptions and guesses and it's passed off as genius, but half the time it came across as plot armour.
I found Misa funny at first, but she wore thin. Also: I don't know if this is covered in the manga... oh: SPOILERS, but the fact that she makes the deal twice, but we never see the consequence of that I felt was a loose thread that should have been tied up.
