Other than a few funny moments throughout the fourth season the entire thing felt really off, The lack of having Kenny Powers' parents at all was very unusual as well, I will always love the first three seasons but it will be quite a while before I am able to watch this disappointing fourth season.

Couldn't agree more. Just binge watched every episode and season 4 was nowhere near as good as the other 3.

I didnt think Season 4 was bad at all but the tone of it was definitely darker, less obviously funny probably because in a lot of ways this was Kenny's last throw of the dice.
April had taken him back and forgiven him but clearly wasnt going to keep doing that, she had finally given up on him and wanted out. Difficult to expect comedy from that, likewise his relationship with Stevie had hit the rocks too so instead of tearing it up together they ended up hating each other.
The ending could have been a little tidier I suppose but this show always was a little different.
It smells like a Spin Doctors concert in here.
