The music killed it!

I actually enjoyed the movie, but every time they started singing and all that comes out of their mouths is some mechanical sound, I can't help but to cringe. Yeah yeah, today's music has tonnes of autotune as well, which makes me sick but really? They made it so obvious to the point it was obnoxious. Call me boring but if that's the idea of modernism and fun... well just leave me out of it.

I didn't like the music either, but I didn't let it ruin the film for me. The animation in the credits were a good distraction from that hip-hop rubbish too.

reply

agreed. the movie was really funny but the music was just bad. so tacky

reply

i really liked those end credits with the instrumental. the single cel art was fantastic.

Thread ender.

Yeah, not sure what that was about. It'll totally date the movie super fast too. Madness. Especially to end it on that note.

enjoyed the movie, didn't like the music, but what bothered me even more than the music was the casting for solely musical purposes. I mean really, Cee-Lo Green and Selena Gomez? In an Adam Sandler movie? Clearly you only cast those people because they could sing a big number at the end and be added to the guys who are funny(and arguably can act)and both have musical experience but aren't "musicians" Sandler and Samberg.

Oh yeah. Dubstep AND autotune AND white people rapping? Cringe!

Supermodels...spoiled stupid little stick figures mit poofy lips who sink only about zemselves.

reply

There are some great white rappers out there actually. Adam Sandler simply isn't one of them. :P

I really liked the movie, I was about to give a 8/10, but when I heard the song at the end I was like WTF???? It dropped at 6/10 for me! Ridiculous Pop-Rap s**** song with autotune, Com' On, let's educate kids with some REAL music. I'm very disapointed by that.

reply

Unfortunately thats what most young kids listen to today, I actually like the song at the end, I thought it was quite catchy and I like the instrumental bit in the middle, shows Im just getting old, and to be honest its a film made for children, so I doubt the film makers give a crap what grown ups think about the soundtrack.

reply

Exactly what I thought as well. I get what they was trying to do. But the music was just vile. Absolutely unbearable to listen to. I enjoyed the rest of the movie though.

reply

Sorry you guys did not like it. It makes my 8 year old and 15 month old sit, watch, laugh, and dance a bit, therefore I applaud the musical genius!

reply

the music was good.. the songs (which is different from the music) were a bit iffy but the music was great (watching it, it was clear it was Mark Mothersbaugh of DEVO and seeing the credits to comfirm it was great)
