THE PEOPLE DEMAND A SEQUEL!!

This was a great screenplay and a great film. And I think Costner was at his best. Because there is so much to do in a sequel and so many different directions it could go, this movie is very ripe for one. If the original screenwriters were to write it, they wouldn't phone-it-in, so it wouldn't be shallow or trite -- as so many sequels are.
Imagine the wife somehow finding out about her husband's history of murder . . . and her subsequent horror. And Mr. Brooks is obliged to kill the ex-con who's sneaking up behind Detective Atwood . . . just as she's discovering Mr. Brooks' at his next murder scene. Then, of course, he has to kill HER, too . . . but not before they have a long conversation about the twisted psychology of killing innocents for sport.
WE WANT A SEQUEL!
And maybe in the scene before cutting to the credits, Mr. Brooks receives a phone call from The Caller, Kiefer Sutherland's character in Phone Booth, and the third film is a showdown between them.
Because why not?
Yes to a sequel as long as Mr. Brooks does not die! :)
Stupidity is the hallmark of humanity, the torch that is passed down throughout the ages.
YES, *beep* PLEASE.
I always come to these boars to look around whether anything has come up, even a rumour or a gossip regarding a sequel, always disappointed. This movie deserves a sequel.
God help us, NO!!!! I just finished watching this a few minutes ago and it may rate as the worst film I've ever seen. Is there any way to erase the fact that the first one was made? Badly acted, unrealistic, cliche ridden, inappropriate score. I guess it would astound a fifteen-year-old, but anyone with adult sensibilities should steer VERY clear.
shareSorry, I disagree with the naysayers.....This was a superb Thriller and we don't get too many of those nowadays.
I am definitely FOR a sequel.
P.S....I'm also a Dexter fan/

yes yes yes
This seems to apply to all people, that can't accept that all things eventually come to an end.
Trust me, no sequel necessary....it is good as it is.
Sure, a sequel would not hurt the movie per se, but why bother throwing millions at such a project when there are so many fresh ideas that could be realized instead?
I am really getting tired of this prevalent sequel-prequel-addiction (yes, it is an addiction in my eyes...free yourselves from this and open up yer minds!)
So if I eat mexican food one night, I should "free myself and open up my mind" and never eat it again? SEQUEL!!
