SO underrated...

As much as I did enjoy Frozen and Tangled, The Princess and the Frog is on a completely different level! There were no pop culture references or cheap laughs in PATF which I found refreshing. The score was beautiful, so much real 20's jazz influence, and not so pop sounding- especially in the lyrics… so why is it probably the least remembered Disney princess movie especially when it's the last true animated film? I never hear anyone talk about this movie, it's always Tangled or Aladdin or TLM… am I wrong? Does anyone else feel this way?

This was the last true animated film? No! Movies have been lying to me!

J/K . I think Frozen, Tangled, and PatF are all on the same level. Each has it's own individual strengths and levels of awesomeness. Not sure what pop culture references or cheap laughs you're referring to are, I didn't see any of those in any of these films.

Apparently the reason people don't like this film as much is that they found it too complicated or something. I didn't find it complicated at all and I enjoyed it, along with Frozen and Tangled, better than most other Disney films.

Don't make me take off my shoe!

Nope, well beautiful story realization, nice jazz music.... but the singing ruined it for me. I made it patiently through the first 3 or 4 songs but then I skipped it or fast forwarded every time they started again. Annoyed me a lot and ended in a rating of 5.Disclaimer: I don't dislike singing in general and this is Disney, it's to be expected and Tangled and Lion King are my fave singing Disney movies but this one just wasn't my stuff. The opposite. Without the singing: 8/10. ---Lincoln Lee: I lost a partner.Peter Bishop: I lost a universe!

I agree. I think it's one of the most underrated personally.

you are not a beautiful and unique snowflake.

I do agree, at least that it's better than Tangled..however, I still think Frozen is the superior film, even though they both are great and harken back to the classic Renaissance era of the late 80s all the way throughout the 1990s.

It's got a nice, soothing feel to it, especially that music. I haven't seen it in a while so I may just plop it into the Netflix queue

When God made Tom Cruise, he was only joking.

Yeah I agree. I think its such an underrated film. As much as I love Tangled, I think TPATF is visually stunning and I agree with the other aspects you mentioned as well.
