least attractive Lois Lane?

could not they find someone more attractive that Amy Adams?
Superman's mom is better looking.
would have made the movie better imo...
superman is pretty hunky I think lol
don't yell at me because I find her unattractive!

it's unfair that people will attack you for saying an actress for Lois didn't work for you. I happen to agree with you though. I do not care for Amy Adams' Lois Lane and feel that she doesn't embody the character quite right

reply

I find her very attractive and I like her as Lois, better than Kate Bosworth who I didn't even hate in the role. Margot Kidder will always be my favorite, but it's a matter of opinion.

reply

Amy Adams in theory, would've been a more ideal candidate to play Lana Lang. She has the red hair and Amy's real life public persona and natural personality seems to be more in line with what you would expect from Lana than Lois.

True, but you'd still fk her if you had the chance. She is hot.

reply

Amy Adams we're stuck with for now as her Lois is alright I guess I dont think she and Cavill have much chemistry as well.

After watching The Man from UNCLE I kind of hoped Alicia Vikander was Lois instead. She had that spunk that she could bring to the role.

reply

Agreed. Even in the sequel the parts with her and Cavill were hard to buy into. She's way too agreeable as a realistic character that borders on boring and being that unchallenging 'perfect girlfriend' that's slightly off and only exists in the mind of someone who has no experience with women.

No joke, every time they showed her looking at Superman in the sequel she would be reduced to near tears and literally weak kneed. They stopped short of adding birds twittering around her.

reply

You can tell that that is an intentional change by the writers with the line "how can you love me" and it makes a lot of sense that she feels out of her league dating someone who is the most powerful man on the planet. You've stereotyped women as being dominant, when statistically...

A representative study, published in 1999 by the German Institut für rationale Psychologie, found that about 2/3 of the interviewed women stated a desire to be at the mercy of their sexual partners. 69% admitted to fantasies dealing with sexual submissiveness

However, I WAS a fan of the Lois Lane portrayed in smallville.

The comic book character is dominant in their relationship to begin with but that doesn't equate to me stereotyping women.

However, I WAS a fan of the Lois Lane portrayed in smallville.

I agree. She was good.

What's sorely missed in the cinematic interpretation of Lois is that she gets Superman to think, she pushes back when no one else will, she's not afraid to call him out when she disagrees with him, and she doesn't completely worship the ground that he walks on. Snyder's version of her shows a lovesick puppy who can only remind audiences that she needs more rescuing to the point it overshadows her usefulness or what little of it is shown.

reply

Margot Kidder will always be my favorite Lois but. But I like Amy Adams in the role so much more than Kate Bosworth.

reply

I'd say she is unattractive AS Lois Lane. I think she's really cute and have liked her in a lot of her roles. But, she is NOT Lois Lane. She doesn't have the balls Lois does.

Kidder was the best Lane, but she was also far from pretty.
I don't know WTF they were thinking with Bosworth as Lane either.

They need to find one who, even if she's in love with Superman, will still stand up to him and challenge him.

reply

I personally thought she was sexy. To each their own, I guess.

reply

To each their own, exactly, because I thought out of the movies, Kate Bosworth was the most attractive Lois Lane, then Amy Adams. I find Margot Kidder repulsive, quite frankly.

Out of all media, I think Erica Durance is the most attractive Lois.

reply

I agree with your whole post, GForce. What's funny is that Kate's Lois needed the least saving.

reply

Right! She took care of herself well. That makes her all the more attractive.

reply

She also didn't need him and was pivotal in saving him from drowning which was a breath of fresh air. It's too bad she gets tossed aside due to being younger because I wanted to see more of this Lois. Snyder kind of swipes or calls back to this scene with his version but it has a lot less impact.

Amy Adams may be a decent actress in other films but the way her character was written in the Zack Snyder films is a downright travesty. If you haven't seen BvS all I can say is that Adams' Lois is always on the verge of tears whenever she sees Superman and it just becomes embarrassing to watch. She might as well have hearts in her eyes and birds fluttering around her. I just can't buy into it.

reply

Agreed! I've seen BvS twice and might again today, but it's mostly to see Wonder Woman! I don't like what Zack has done that much, but he scored big with Wonder Woman. That movie next year might set records.

I love Amy Adams but I agree with you...she's just too emotional and ga ga over Supes. As much as I can't stand to look at Margot Kidder, her Lois was tough and smart...even tricking Kal-El in the Donner version of Superman II. It's embarrassing to watch this Lois. Heck, even Lois Lane in the Superfriends confronted Lex head on.

reply

Wow! You got vision!

reply

Seems unanimous that Kate Bosworth is the worst, hands down.

reply

I love Amy Adams.

It's a shame the movie gives Lois nothing to do. BvS gives her even less.
