wong kar wai's style and stories are uniquely asian and it is just difficult to see these hollywood actors (except for racheal weiszz) in his movie. had been faye wong or maggie chung are in this film, this might have been very breathtaking...

don't get me wrong guys, i still admire wong and his movies for the rest of my movie viewing life :)

something like that i think it lacked characters, all the characters were caricatures, girl loses guy, wife loses husband, girl lose money and father...

none of them were worth the gums on the chair to care about. None of the characters were explored in depth: why did Law give up his dreams etc etc

In Hong Kong cinema they can overact like hell and get away with it but no western actor worth their salt will do that although weisz came close.
