Judging by the ratings, it seems you're the one who is actually in the minority. But yes, Oblivion while certainly a flawed film, is still in every way better than this s--tstain of a film.
shareGave it a one. It was a slasher film, where they removed the slasher and added aliens. Shouldn't have happened. Even the lighting was horrible, I don't understand how you could rate it 8. Garbage in its puriest form.

By itself, I guess not the worst movie ever made (cough...Battlefield Earth). But because it is based on two of the greatest sci-fi creations ever devised, I cannot help but expect SO much more from it. AvP could have made for some real awesome flicks. But because they were made by garbage film makers (mostly Paul Anderson.....mostly) they suck. Instantly forgettable, both of them.

i gave it a 7/10. its a bad movie, but its one of my guilty pleasures. the characters were annoying, the lighting was bad but the alien vs predator scenes were badass.

The rating system is weird and wrong. I ignore it for the most part. I would rate an average movie as a 7, but most people would rate average below 4-6. I have to hate a movie to go below a 5.
This movie has a 4.7 while Equilibrium has a 7.6, Alien resurrection 6.2, which is astonishing. I barely got through one viewing of those, but I own the unrated AVPR and enjoy it for what it is. I really like that the love interest gets brutally slaughtered very suddenly.
I rated it an 8 as well, but I went up a star to compensate for all the haters rating it way too low. 7 is my real rating.
The system you're using is weird and wrong for the most part. An average film gets a five. A good film would get a seven. A spectacular film would get a nine or ten.
This would be about 3, possibly 4.
If you got graded a 5/10, that is a FAIL. Average is 7.
