I enjoyed this film immensely and think Clive Owen was brilliant. I appreciate satire, and this was so much fun. I also enjoy A Man For All Seasons, Olivier's Hamlet, The Big Sleep, Annie Hall...well, I think you get my meaning - that I enjoy any film that is well-crafted by those involved (AND these other films mentioned are simply in my opinion good or great films, not that I think they are in any other way comparable to Shoot 'Em Up).

No, this movie is amazing! Loved it from the first time I have seen it, and, for quite some time before I came to China, it was a regular habit of both myself and a friend of mine to pop the movie in and munch on carrot while enjoying the film. Of course it is a ridiculous film, and of course there is no way they could pull off most of what we saw in the movie, but what would you expect from a film called "Shoot 'Em Up"?
Coincidentally, someone asked for a similar film. "Drive Angry" was also up there in fun and ludicrous, and even featured a scene similar to one of the better scenes in this film.
