ending a little disappointing

I felt like it was a relatively kind film, no one really dies etc. until Po kills Tai-Lung at the end, even though you don't see it.

I would of rather Tai-Lung, sort of repenting and bowing down to Po as his master with the furious five and having them all get along, shi-fu reunited with his defacto-son etc. Do you guys like that idea?

it's not uncommon as an ending in kung-fu movies so it rather goes with the style.

Sounds like the ending to Kung Fu Hustle. I don't see him as a character that could repent. He was driven at having power and since he couldn't figure out what "No secret ingredient" is, he would be even more upset at training so hard for nothing. Now if he actually did survive and was just incapacitated he may gain wisdom after a while but not that quickly.

Take in mind that this movies is mainly for a younger audience where blood and gore or murder is something that is not good for the kids.

Am I the only one that was glad he was killed?. Having him repent or redeem himself or be thrown in jail, THAT would have been the annoying cliche. Great ending to a lovely movie.
