Why i can't find any better movie/trilogy than The Bourne Moives ?!!

WoW! After watching a lot of movies including the IMDB Top 250 list i couldn't even compare any action/thriller to this! the Bourne movies are the best so far, i nearly watched a lot of movies which include imdb's top 250, but never - ever found a better Action trilogy than the Bourne.

Just Brilliant! You'll fall in love with this...

Now let me clear this to who may argue with me on what i said, what really fascinates & attract is the Realistic tactics used in action scenes or in dodging scenes (i.e: bourne with simon in the train station) you feel like you're a part of it - you watch real tactics brilliant smart action and i think it's the same reason everyone liked this movie.

I CAN'T IMAGINE SOMEONE who won't like it, i hope to see in the near future similar movies like this!

I agree. I agree about the best trilogy and about the action and cat and mouse scenes. Very realistic.

@OP:
the old Star Wars trilogy
Lord of the Rings
Matrix

and no, it's not "realistic" (you can't pull this off with a civilian, i.e. the journalist in the film), but entertaining and that's the whole point

reply

The best American spy trilogy, pay attention.

Best trilogy? 1 was wonderful. 2 was awful. 3 was action packed and fun, but lost the interesting tone the first had. Not really a top notch series all together.

reply

I love all three equally. But if I had to choose, it would be Supremacy.

I think Greengrass (the director of Supremacy and Ultimatum) had the right idea until he tried to shoehorned a "past relationship" with Nikki and Bourne into the script.

Ultimatium went overboard with the shaky camera technique and there's no time this is clearer than when you look at the Bourne/Desh fight and compare it with the fights in the first two movies.

As a trilogy / series... nothing tops the Bourne series.
To me...Bourne Identity and Bourne Supremacy rank in my top 10 films of all time.

I also liked Bourne Ultimatum, but nowhere close to as much as the first 2 films in the series. I don't understand why Ultimatum seems to get better reviews. To me it completely lacked heart and emotion.

Oh, you can also count me in the minority of folks who actually like the shaky camera in Supremacy and Ultimatum!

Nothing? Seriously? Have you ever watched the Toy Story films? They make up THE perfect trilogy. Each one is flawless and as a trilogy it has a beautiful unity in that you are happy for it having ended, not sad. it is too hard to choose which one is best because they all do everything so well, but for a favourite it has to be the original, simply for nostalgia.

Because there aren't any.

Better trilogy? Lord of the Rings is incredible, majestic.

Better action trilogy? There are not very many. I'd definitely put Terminator above Bourne. T2 is awesome and completely blows Bourne off the map when it comes to action. T1 is very good. T3 the weakest but still ok and every trilogy has a weak point, naturally.

Also, Alien trilogy is far better. Aliens is on a pinnacle of action movies.

Dark Knight trilogy is also far better than Bourne. Christopher Nolan has created something special there.

There are more. Bourne, although good, is not even in the top 10.

I do think that the Bourne trilogy is one of the more consistent trilogies ever made. Had the 3rd Blade film not been complete and utter *beep* I would have put that up there too, but the Bourne trilogy, despite Supremacy's obvious flaws, is excellent as a whole.

Supremacy is not bad enough to disregard the whole trilogy, it does have it's moments, and Greengrass was just a little, well, green I thought. Otherwise he bounced bad spectacular with Ultimatum, which, imo, is the best Bourne film and one of the greatest action thrillers ever made. Yes, I did miss the interest dynamic between Marie and Bourne, but I felt like Ultimatum's relentless pacy, on point editing, engaging central story and breathless action sequences made up for the lack of Marie. Plus Matt Damon is as strong and brooding as ever.

My strength is greater than my weakness

For me, the best trilogy is The Dark Knight trilogy. Then, I liked The Lord of the Rings trilogy the most, then The Bourne trilogy. Fourth comes the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy. Didn't like the 4th one of POTC series. For me, it ended on At World's End!

The original Star Wars trilogy & the Matrix trilogy are my two favorites of all time.

WE ARE THE BORG. RESISTANCE IS FUTILE.

reply

How about Back to the future trilogy? It's not too bad.

Jurassic park trilogy also was great.

reply

Original Star Wars was so great that no movie, none of its sequals could even come close to it. It was mother of all sci-fi movies, and a perfect 10 any day. But, please don't forget that next two Star Wars were pathetic. Star Wars might be the most entertaining movie in history for some, but the Star Wars trilogy is not good, because the sequals suck.

Just watched all 3 Bournes in the last few days, just as awesome as I remember! In terms of best trilogy though, it's got some competition. I know there have been many Batmans, maybe you don't consider it a trilogy, but the Christian Bale ones (Batman Begins, Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises) is an amazing trilogy. But Bourne is right up there with the best of them

reply

watch the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Trilogy.

reply

i can't accept dark knight as a competition to this, simply because there's no realistic action happening around even though all the action scenes in dark knight are pretty traditional and no new style of tactics etc like the bourne.

reply

anyone who claims The Empire Strikes Back as a movie that sucks has no credibility in my book....

reply

Because they don't exist...Maybe Toy Story???

You can't find a better trilogy than this? Almost every movie trilogy ever made is better than this.
Apart from the already mentioned ones, how about Back to the Future.
The Bourne movies were all almost the same, especially Supremacy and Ultimatum.
Jason Bourne running from the baddies. Jason Bourne smashing up countless cars and escaping uninjured with gun drawn ready for action (gee I got sick of that). Jason Bourne popping up all over Europe.
If he had been in one more movie he would have had to have worn a cape and worn his underpants on the outside!
Anyway, the best by far Bourne movie was the original with Richard Chamberlain. Now that could have been developed into the best trilogy ever!
