shareyes! we need toy story 4!
and 5!
and a mini-serie on tv!
because...money!
hehe.
kidding.
i think it ended on a very good note, but there will probably be a 4 in a few years when that girl is grown up etc ..
No, it was a great way to close out the series. Andy had grown up and made the choice of what to do with his toys. Great ending.

No, I think this was the last one. The trilogy is complete.

No way dude, and I don't want it too. I like calling it the Toy Story Trilogy, it has such a nice ring to it :). And besides, like you said 3 ended on such a final note and I don't see how they could possibly continue the story.
shareI like the finality of it, and yet it isn't like the world just ends, but one chapter of their life has ended, and hopefully, we can be content to relive their adventures in the trilogy.
It's not just about Andy, but also about Woody and Buzz, and their relationship as friends and partners in this world. There's very little more that you can do without tainting that world if you send them on another adventure...like Circle 7's planned sequels that would have kept the toys stuck in a perpetual childhood and never aging.
"Thanks, guys." "So long, partner."
- Toy Story 3 (9/10)
The way this movie ended wrapped up the trilogy in such a beautiful way from all points of view (artistically, storywise, etc.) that I simply can't conceive of any way to add to it in any meaningful way.

It has nothing to do with being "Gen Y crybabies" and everything to do with good filmmaking. Remember how awesome people thought a new Star Wars trilogy would be? Now I'm not saying that additional Toy Story sequels would neceessarily be bad in and of themselves, but it would clash with the completeness of the original trilogy's structure.
