The End of Pixar's Golden Era?

Pixar had an undeniable streak of quality, innovation, and genius. They raised the bar and kept it high (albeit with a hiccup or two). Their last effort was solid, but I think their reigning magic is fading. Did Toy Story 3 mark the end of an era?

Well Pixar began with Toy Story, so you could be on to something. I mean, Cars 2 was Pixar's first film that got bad reviews and it (Cars 2) came right after TS3. Then again, I wasn't really fond of Up which came the year before TS3.

Pixar has been getting slowly worse over the years, it's just a fact.
Carswas terrible. Cars 2... even worse. Pixar has lost the magic. I saw some of Brave on TV and was totally not motivated to watch it. They 3 Toy Story's are good, The INcredibles is good, Bug's Life and Finding Nemo, both good. The two Monsters flicks were good. WALL-E was good, despite the stain of Disney upon it.

Well, in my opinion Inside Out was the best Pixar movie, so no, the golden era didn't end with Toy Story 3 :)

Personally I wouldn't consider average films like Bugs Life and Monsters Inc indicative of a perfect golden age, not to mention Cars as well. Every company has it's ups and downs, Pixar is no different. Recent greats like Inside Out and Finding Dory show that the ups still outnumber the downs.
