I would thikn that this was a box office hit with a solid story and grat action scenes. Allways wondered why no sequel..

Money. Duh. If it had made any money the suits Hollyweird would have fallen all over themselves not only to do a sequel,
but to do copy cat films.

The film said everything it needed to say. There is no more left to explore, unless... the identity of V could be brought back in a way (Portman’s character could be involved), you know if things in this world took a turn for the worse. Granted I think a sequel would be unnecessary given how the film ended, but a follow *would* feel appropriate given what’s going on in today’s world. If they could find a way to make it work, then I’d be down for a sequel (and prepare for reich wing meltdowns).

Those mentioning a prequel... sure, I can see that work.

Because I believe V died at the end. I guess you could do a prequel, but what would it offer? This movie covered his backstory, and it’s not as if V did a lot of stuff before the events of this movie.

It's kinda hard to tell a sequel story when the title character is dead.

V being the trickster he is, perhaps did in fact survive but had blacked out when he collapsed in front of Evey ...
