Everyone talks of Shaun of the Dead. And while it's great, I think Hot Fuzz is an all around better movie. Anyone share my opinion?
shareI agree with you. After finishing the trilogy, I would say Hot Fuzz is my favorite, then Shawn of the Dead, and The World's End. I liked World's End but, perhaps ironically, I didn't care for the end and enjoyed the end of the first two very much.
shareThis was good, but Shaun of the Dead is an original classic. I found the violence to be a bit out of sync with the humor of the movie. Just seemed a bit out of place (not that I mind violence).

I agree. PAUL and Worlds End were major letdowns.

Always liked Shuan better...but rewatching all 3 again recently and factoring in the soundtracks of all 3 as well (which I play many times on my iPod), gotta say Hot Fuzz is turning into the quick favorite.
The Blu Ray also has OUTSTANDING surround sound...up there with my Pacific Rim Blu Ray as far as sound show off material!

shareNo, I found Shaun of the Dead to be much funnier than Hot Fuzz. I found Hot Fuzz dragged a bit and they spent the last 30 minutes just shooting.

I agree with this.
I like all 3, but Hot Fuzz is only one I love and the only one that gets better every time I watch it.
The replay value of Hot Fuzz is much better. On the first viewings I laughed more to Shaun of the Dead, but now its more of a consistent smile, whereas i am still laughing when I watch Hot Fuzz.
Yet to see the 3rd of the trilogy.

Completely agree. I love comedy and a good zombie flick, but this does blow SotD out of the water.
