The Remake

They should remake this with Jake Gyllenhaal & Scarlett Johansson in the leads with Paul Bettany as the husband and Keifer Sutherland as the detective.

It should be rewritten slightly so that the ghost bits at the end are more scarier and darker, as I found them a bit boring. And BinJip should escape from Prison using his newly discovered mutant powers.
The pace should be quickened cos at times the film dragged.

This is the funniest thread I have EVER read on IMDb. I literally laughed out loud through all 8 pages of this. Thanks to all you people who don't understand sarcasm, you just made my day a LOT better.

They Are All great actors but why in the hell would you remake this movie. What is the point?

I think an Americanized remake would be a TERRIBLE idea. I just saw this last night and was captivated. The minimal dialogue made this a truly universal story. Most of the time remakes are a catastrophe - in this case it is just really a stupid idea. It's as if its not possible for anyone outside of the US or in the "mainstream" - you know what I'm saying - to have a human experience.

Everything is not about the U.S. sometimes there are other countries on other continents that have a story to tell - without being adulterated with American sensibilities.

jesus christ why the HELL would you want to let alone need to remake this film ? its a complete work and story and it was made and completed perfectly - nothing more needs to be said just appreciate it as is eh ? i dont get why people have the constant need to remake everything when there is no need ... its not even that old .

Saw an American indie road movie today called ARTHUR NEWMAN (2012) with Colin Firth, Emily Blunt and a whole mess of watching paint dry about a golf pro who decides to have an identity change, goes on the road and hooks up with another young identity shifter who helps him break into people's homes while they're gone and try on clothes, fornicate in their beds and eat their food before moving onto the next house. Sound familiar?

why remake ? why the fk would any other "industry" do that ? is this what the world is going to turn into ? nothing but copy cats and remake ?

I'm already sick and tired of hollywood's *beep* flicks. It's time for the rest of the world to produce quality films like before, like it's suppose to be.
