I though this film was fantastic. The entire cast was superb! I don't understand why it has such a low rating.

the book was brilliant; the movie, however, is pretentious, dull, and overlong.
i thought it would never end.

Yea, i agree it sucked. It was hard to watch. I'd grade it a 'D'.

It's too bad, i really like the original.

I enjoyed this movie, the atmosphere, the acting, the plot, the characters - all were good. I wonder what the people, who say they did not like this movie, found to dislike so much. Maybe the truth is hard to stomach when you are brought up to see everything in technicolor ...... not being from the USA I don't have that hang-up.
