Why is this movie so unpopular? its never on tv and you never hear it mentioned, its a really good movie that is like undiscovered.
shareYeah, maybe the best movie of Bay for sure. It was popular internationaly, only US it did not well. Here in France, the movie is shown at least two times a year.

sharei dont like this movie. it is a somewhat shallow mix of matrix and thx and moon. i find that it appeals best to spoiled and immature people for its aesthetics and special effects. it is suited to those who would secretly fantasize about being a customer, or the adventurous replica of a good looking celebrity. i find it superficial, cliche and disgraceful, and it annoys me.
positive side: some innocence and a happy end.
So... those who like the film must be spoiled and immature? I love this movie and not for any of the reasons you listed. The story is exciting. The clients who purchased the 'insurance policies' were not all good-looking celebrities, just the very wealthy who could afford such a thing.
There is nothing worse than a person who says "those who like what I don't must be stupid."
The reason this movie is very high in special effects/aesthetics is because that is Michael Bay's style. That is his signature style of film-making, he likes to do it that way. Deal with it.
I don't consider myself spoiled or immature and I love this movie. Isn't it great when you insult people just because they like something you don't? Very childess.....oooops
