If you flew under the radar and didn't make a big scene I could see it working fine but those two were definitely causing a big scene... even carrying the brides chair. Someone (especially the bride and groom) would notice.

One can also easily crash a party inadvertently. I crashed a New Year's Eve party after arriving at the wrong address. Every one was friendly and the booze was flowing. I didn't expect to know many people but at least certainly the host who invited me. After an hour or so I asked someone "where is Donna?" I get a "who is Donna?" I replied "she lives here." Wrong, Donna lived about four blocks away.
