Milk and ice cream?

What's up with Maggie pouring milk into the ice cream carton? I've never seen that before.

Do people actually do that? Why?

reply

Since I live alone - I always eat my ice-cream out of the tub (or carton, as you guys call it)....and everytime I pour some milk in.

It is *beep* tasty.
Try it sometime.

why do you guys think mixing milk and ice cream weird??? isn't that how we make milkshake??

reply

I like to pour milk in a glass, add ice cream and kind of mix it up. Not as smooth as a milkshake, but it's along the same lines.

reply

i don't actually put the milk in the ice cream, but both my sister and i always have to have a glass of milk after eating ice cream, never really figured out why.

Try putting orange juice in vanilla ice cream....yum! You get orange creme.

I experimented making a sandwich. White bread, cheese, and italian dressing. Disgusting!

As someone who loves orange sherbert, I must try this orange juice and ice cream combination!

Re: White Bread/Cheese/Italian dressing

I think your mistake was using white bread (I'm assuming you used the regular sliced wonderbread kind). I know this because I tried the same combination too one time, (only I added turkey and lettuce to the mix) and it too, turned out nasty. I later invested in some good quality bread and subsituted regular italian for creamy italian, then put it the in oven for about 3 or 5 min at 350. It was pretty good. I little dijon also helps out the flavoring. :)

I need to try this white/bread/cheese/Italian dressing combination. It sounds beyond delicious, especially when you mentioned the dijon.

My specialty are pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. They're made similar to regular chocolate chip cookies except a bit of canned pumpkin is added to the dough.

The real trouble with reality is that there's no background music.

My bestfriend when i was little always did that. It just makes it more soft and stuff tastes just as good!! :P

Actually I do pour milk into my ice cream...and it's good!

Milk and ice cream (especially chocolate) is badass. I've been doing that since I was like...12? I'm 21 now, so...

i actually mix my vanilla ice cream with milk...gives it a good chunky texture and makes it a little less sweet. mmmm...

reply

Yes, chunkiness! Milk is a must for me if I'm eating ice cream. It just doesn't taste as good otherwise.

Icecream and milk is really good. The milk gives the icecream a frozen crust that just tastes really good. My mom and I have eaten icecream like this for years. The best icecream to eat this way has to be really hard (super cold) so that the milk freezes to the outside. You also should use your spoon to break up the icecream so that the milk has more surfaces to freeze to.

If you think this sounds gross, please remember that ice cream is made up of milk/cream.
