Any non-Asians who like this film?

I'm just wondering if this Korean War movie is appealing to non-Asians in the U.S. I liked it, but the dialogue could get cheesy sometimes. From watching Saving Private Ryan and Black Hawk Down, the two best war movies I think, I wasn't much shocked or inspired by the movie. It was decently made though.

In terms of sheer violence, it made SPF (its like a suntan lotion or something) look like a cake walk. And Warmaster Jin-Tae...could destroy Tom Hanks or Matt Damon anyday.

I am an Albanian from Kosovo , and i really liked it.
For me it is one of the best war movies ever made

I am American and I thought it was better than Saving Private Ryan in most regards. That film ends up being pretty standard jingoist patriotic stuff but this one transcends that, it's about brotherhood, not glorification of war, and that what side you are on is pointless in light of that

Absolutely first-rate! Not only did I cry, but my 19 year old son cried too. Very moving and wonderful acting!

Of course, I loved it (I'm french and non-asian)
My buddies liked it too, though we're a bunch of asian movies lovers
