How awesome was Ben Foster in this?!?

Seriously, he's made a pretty great career out of edgy, jittery characters, but this takes the cake. So good.

Counting the times Ben Foster isn't brilliant is easier than counting the times he is. Each of the following films offered a stunning performance from Foster:

Aint Them Bodies Saints
Contraband
Rampart
The Mechanic
30 Days of Night
3:10 to Yuma
The Messenger (huge props here)
Alpha Dog
Hostage (the only worthwhile part of the film)
Liberty Heights

Ben Foster has made it clear from early on that he is an actor to be watched at all times.

I thought he was great in Pandorum as well.

"We are here to help the Vietnamese, bc inside every *beep* there is an American trying to get out"

Yep loved him in this movie. I love unique actors like him.

Of course he was out acted by Bale and Crowe. Foster didn't have much of a story line. He wasn't written much of a script, didn't talk much, no character development. Basically just a shooter who was part of Crowe's posse. I don't think he could have done more than the lines that were written for him.

"I hate Posses." Awesome line. His role was great. IMHO he was great. Great movie all around.

He should have been nominated for an Oscar.

He truly did steal the show.
