How awesome was Ben Foster in this?!?
Seriously, he's made a pretty great career out of edgy, jittery characters, but this takes the cake. So good.

Disagree. I felt his acting was weak as the main supporting role and was overshadowed by the acting of Bale and Crowe. The problem is his role was so important and pivotal to the movie. I think the failure to cast that role properly is the main reason this movie bombed at the box office.

Being out acted by Bale and Crowe isn't anything to criticize somebody for. They're both legends.
Foster nails this role IMO. He's the loyal, completely hate able evil #2.
But he also had a swagger about him that he was in charge and an extremely dangerous and talented gunman.
Dude, what??? Foster was great in this movie - he was not overshadowed, he was a supporting actor - the story was not focused on him, but he played his roll very well.

shareOne of the best performances I've seen from any actor in any movie, ever. Acting isn't always about what's spoken, but also what's communicated non-verbally. Our Charlie boy conveyed depth and complexity which easily surpassed that of even Ben Wade. Just astounding.

Ben Foster was Brilliant. His character was utterly complex and likeable yet evil. Plus, He wasn't suppose to overshadow the leads, he was suppose to be overshadowed. IT was a uniquely beautiful job he played at being the 'really bad guy'
shareCompletely! My family and I saw this film in theaters and all agreed on one point...Foster was amazing!!
shareYeah i've never really liked him in much or saw the appeal when he was getting a bit of a push a few years back but he was great in this. The cinematography plays off him really well also - when hes striding through the middle of a huge gunfight with a crazy stare etc.
