because i honestly cant figure out why all the hostility. i absolutely LOVE this movie...great western, great film, and i have to say, CB was excellent.

I didn't like it, I Loved it! I think a lot of the hate is coming from the people who have seen the original and that's just unfortunate.

I really liked it. Although there are some legitimate flaws in it that have already been pointed out on this page, however the performances and the cinematography were really terrific.

Don't put the devil in the picture, cause' the religious groups won't wanna see it.

<Raises hand> Me. I loved it. To this day I think it's a superb film, and vastly underrated.

I was honestly really shocked by all the hostility toward this movie here on the boards. The movie is superbly written and acted, and I honestly think the revised ending outdoes the original and adds real emotion and tension.

I think it's easily one of the best Westerns ever made and thought Mangold did a terrific job with it -- as did Crowe, Bale, Foster and the rest of the cast.
