favourite segment?

i found the steve coogan/alfred molina segment absolutely hilarious!

classic coogan, on his best form as usual, and nice to see molina doing naturalistic comedy. he holds his own against coogan in every frame, shifting the balance perfectly with each twist.

i also enjoyed meg and jack white's section. although it was much more subtle than the coogan/molina piece, for a couple of untrained actors they conveyed a real sweetness and sensitivity.

not all of the film was to my taste but i'm not sure the ripping it got was completely deserved. i still enjoyed it and was not left disappointed.

I laughed pretty hard on the Delirium one (Bill Murray, RZA, and GZA). "Garggle and spit, don't swallow, don't you swallow it Bill Murray". Classic

Tom Waits and Iggy Pop was my favorite. Tom Waits is God.

Okay, My favorites are...

Thos'll Kill Ya
Cousins?
Delireum
and then just Steve's part in Twins

Least Favorites
Renee: That One Just Wasn't Good at all. I mean none of them had something happening, but that one really had nothing happening.

The other part of twins

and No Problem Really Sucked, same verdict as Renee That one almost made me stop watching.

I liked Delirium best, without it the movie would be kind of average.

to me the funniest one was the first, i mean wtf, that guy played by roberto benigni was just so extremely weird, when he said he had to go because he would be late for steven´s appointment, i don´t know i just started laughing, is just, it was so stupid, HILARIOUS, and also the one with alfred molina and steve coogan, it was just so cool when (well i don´t remember exactly like they said, but it was something like this) coogan said, would it be rude if i gave u my number now and then alfred said like ahh... yeah, it was really funny, i really liked this movie, is not the best i´ve ever seen in my entire life but i really enjoyed it

The funniest to me were Delirium and Twins.
I also liked Cousins and Somewhere in California for the tension and awkwardness between charaters that was very real.

I liked the whole movie anyway!

hey its Bill Muwway, Delirium was the best by FAAR...everytime i hear the name bill murray or see a movie with him in it thats all i think about...

reply

Damn it's so hard.. can't choose only one. All segements was so different and so funny but IMHO the best are: "Delirium", "cousins?" "no problem" and first one with Bengini.

i liked the iggy pop segment most (mainly because i am a huge iggy fan). I also liked the tesla part, i dont like the white stripes but after i saw that i thought they are pretty funny

reply

I agree, The White Stripes went up in my estimation after seeing their segment. I laughed up a vital organ when Meg finally said 'So, are you going to tell me about your Tesla coil.' It's become one of my favourite movie lines ever. I sometimes say it to random people just to enjoy their confused reaction. If they look too stunned I add, 'C'mon you dragged it all the way down here in your little red wagon.'
Yeah, I know, but I get a laugh out of it.

Cousins? Beacuse it's a perfectly achieved "akwardness"

reply

Yeap. "Cousins?" is the best part. It's my favourite one :)

My favorie one would have to be the Tom Waits/Iggy Pop one. It's so very real, but yet so very awkward at the same time. I also love the Steven Wright/Roberto Benigni one. The White Strips and the Coogan/Molina one are great too. It's such a great movie, and to be honest with you, all the segments are good in their own way. Everytime I watch the movie I pick something else up. It just gets better every time.
