I'll admit that when I first saw it, I didn't like the way it adapted the Dark Phoenix saga.
But upon rewatching it, I'll admit that, on its own, its a good film, if still a step down from X2, and I can't understand why most people hate it and consider it one of the worst comic book movies of all time.
Can someone explain?

We just re-watched these first three x-men films and whilst perhaps not as good as X2, it's definitely no worse and probably better than the first one.
Sure, I'm not an X-Men comics reader, so don't have the same Dark Phoenix badly adapted issues they apparently had. But even so, it's still weird that the film shows her having incredible power but then seemingly just tagging along as part of team Magneto until the final scenes.
So that could definitely have been done better and maybe given us a slightly improved finale. However, otherwise this is definitely no Spider-Man 3.
