I'm on the other end of the spectrum. Most of the movies I watch are those I give 7 to 10 and I avoid mainstream movies in general though there are some good ones there too. I take a lot of time in deciding what movies I should see, so I don't end up having watched much of the trash. Having said that and having watched a lot of great movies of all genres, I still consider this one of the best I've seen.
It touches on concepts like suppressing one's ego, the importance of Point of View (the more one learns to see from another's shoes, the more open the person'll be and the less egoistic the person'll be), the importance of small details that change one's life and also on how everything is in the person's mind (Statham's character had a fear of closed doors, but eventually the fear didn't do him too good) - which implies not everything that one's mind tells the person will result in good for him/her.
The best thing about this movie is it does it all subtle, nothing is on the nose here and still everything in the movie is sufficient for one to arrive at the above thoughts.
