I shut it off about 45mins in (around the time when Anjelina makes her first appearance). Should I give it another chance? Does it get better?

You should. You have to be in the right mood. It's happened to me, it took me 3 tries at Shutter Island (I fell asleep the first 2 times about 30 minutes in) and now it is one of my favorite movies.

Nope do not bother. I saw it in a theatre years ago and people got up, people exited groaning that they had spent money on this time waster.
When Jolie appears as the wife of this guy...omg...so wrongly typecast and thank goodness she isn't in very much! Those fish lips just do not do it for me. But then Matt's wooden performance doesn't do it either.

A waste of time.
