Has anyone seen similar films to this?

Lot of great suggestions by everyone. I'd like to add two movies that aren't necessarily 'spy movies', but have a lot of depth and aren't merely entertainment. The American, with George Clooney, is a slow moving, but captivating movie about an assassin hiding out in a little Italian village. Flame and Citron is based on a two Danish guys fighting underground against the nazis.

I see mentions of Breach, Michael Clayton, and Arlington Road, all good movies. Notorious (the one by Alfred Hitchcock), also mentioned, is one of my all-time favorites, infusing a lot of romance into the suspense. No one mentioned The Little Drummer Girl, starring Diane Keaton and based on a Le Carre novel. Also, The Lives of Others, one of THE best films about living in a surveillance state, namely East Germany. Enemy of the State with Will Smith and Gene Hackman, excellent.
